The Internet has changed everything! Since about 1985 I have been assisting clients in getting their products and services to market. In the last four or five years almost all of my expertise and time has been devoted to the Internet--and it's exciting because it's the big equalizer. No longer can a company monopolize a whole market segment just because they're big and have investments in many distribution avenues. It gives mid size companies and even the little guy a chance at the market. |

Along with the new opportunities however, come many very important pieces to the marketing puzzle. A missing piece or the wrong piece can make a great difference in money and time spent to obtain the desired level of success. Of course, minimizing risk is also a factor. |

There are many questions that arise. Important questions! Unfortunately, in my experience many people don't know the questions they should be asking. I wrote an article on this very subject that provides example questions one should ask regarding getting a product to market. However, a whole new set of questions now arise with the explosion that is occurring on the Internet. There is another article on that same linked page that addresses another mistake often made--mixing up what an investment is versus an expense. If you treat each dollar spent like an expense, you're going to have some growth pains. |
